Memorial Ceremony

Uniform for the Day:
Veterans - Black pr Yellow Angry Skippershirts and hat/Cav Stetson. Other veterans: similar attire.
Ladies - appropriate for the occasion
8:30 AM - Charter buses load (for all staying at our 2 event hotels)
8:45 AM - Buses depart hotel for the Wall Memorial.
9:00 AM - Welcome Team in place at assigned positions (map below)
9:30 AM - Assemble at the Vietnam Memorial Wall - Area 5 clearing, east of the Wall (map below)
9:45 AM - Ceremony Begins
All veterans - Fall in, Colors Presented (US Flag, 1st Cav flag, D/2/8 Guidon)
Prayer
Honoring the Fallen - Wolf Kutter
Roll Call of the Fallen / Bell Tolls
Presentation of Wreaths/Cav display at Panel W-1 with the Colors
Present arms SALUTE
Playing of Taps
10:30 AM Ceremony concludes
If possible, please remain in the area to visit with families, other veterans, etc. This will be an emotional event and this time of closure may be very healing for all. Some families may wish to remain at the Wall with their loved one for a while.

Nearest Intersection: Henry Bacon Drive NW & Constitution Avenue NW
Parking is extremely limited along Constitution Avenue. Be sure to read the signs for restrictions and time limits. Handicapped parking is available on the south side of the Lincoln Memorial.
Public transportation is the best option for reaching National Mall and Memorial Park sites easily and conveniently. There are many options to reach us.
On the subway system, known as Metro, use the Foggy Bottom/GWU stop, approximately .8 mi from the memorial (Orange/Blue/Silver line), or Smithsonian stop, approximately 1.2 mi from the memorial
(Orange/Blue/Silver line).
The National Mall Circulator Loop bus stops just north of the memorial, at 21st Street NW and Constitution Avenue NW, and provides easy access around the National Mall and convenient connections to other Circulator buses for visits to uptown sites.
Trains including Amtrak, MARC, and VRE service Union Station and/or L'Enfant Plaza in Washington, D.C.
